South Dakota Fishing License
A South Dakota Fishing License is required to fish Lake Oahe and is not provided by the Crooked Wench. License can be obtained through South Dakota Game, Fish, & Parks.
What To Expect
Full Day Trips run around 8 hours (8a.m.-4p.m.) and Half Day Trips run about 4 hours (8a.m.-12p.m.)
The fishing charter is focused on Walleye fishing, but there is always potential for multi-species days
Time of Year
May - October (November depending on weather and availability) - Fishing Only
October - January - Fishing and/or Pheasant Hunting
December - March - Ice Fishing
What To Bring On Your Trip
Water bottles, sunscreen, and fishing equipment will be provided for you aboard the Crooked Wench. You are welcome to bring aboard any other drinks or snacks you would like.
If you would like to fish with your own personal fishing rods we are happy to make room for them on board.
Lodging
Lodging through Hill View Hunts in Eureka, South Dakota will be available depending on services booked. Inquire about lodging and pheasant hunting packages through the contact form or Hill View Hunts.
